The Chinese government improved the punishment of the environmental crimes. In particular, in the last quarter of 2014, authorities registered fines in 11.114 of the cases. Indeed, the Chinese government has adopted a new kind of approach based on though approach to the issue. In particular, tackling the environment-related crimes, the environmental authorities increased the transfer of those case related to heavy metal and persistent pollution to the police.
