LIU Mengyao since August 2018 is an Intern at gLAWcal – Global Law Initiatives for Sustainable Development and she is a Master Candidate in International Law at Beijing Foreign Studies University in Beijing, China. Ms. LIU Mengyao obtained a Bachelor Degree in Law and English at Beijing Foreign Studies University in Beijing, China in July 2018 with a final dissertation titled “Research on the Featured Financial Legal System of Free Ports”. In July 2018, she attended the Summer Institute on Climate Change, Energy and EnvironmentalProtection” (SICCEP) and the “Summer Institute on Intellectual Property Rights and China” (IP-China) organized by West Virginia University (USA) and gLAWcal - Global Law Initiatives for Sustainable Development (United Kingdom) held at the Law School of the Beijing Foreign Studies University in Beijing (China).

Her major research areas are Environmental Law, Commercial Transaction and Dispute Resolution, Regional Trade Policy and WTO Law.

Chinese native speaker, she is fluent in English.
